Niš is the city that gave the world Constantine the Great. The Roman emperor who converted vast swathes of Europe to Christianity and founded the legendary city of Constantinople (now Istanbul) was born here in 272 AD. Enough about the people, though. Niš, the place, has undeniable draws.
